The old remotes have dedicated input changing buttons (who the hell though getting rid of that was a good idea…)as well as full numeric keys. I understand they want you using the OS to see the ads, but that does not mean that you can get rid of the input button for advanced users…

(I note C1 because I remembered after posting the first post that it was a C1 remote I was already using on my GX)

The C1 remote does everything as long as you’re pointing at the TV, except for the motion control controls (which I find those do not work to be a complete “win”!)

You’ll get messages popping up on the TV when you go to use it this remote is “not compatible” but it works perfect!

If you want a good remote, the secret is to buy one from the CX or C1 generation! It works over IR 100% with all of LG OLEDs.

The remote that came with my G5 is absolutely a piece of trash, and forces you to go through that terrible OS to do anything. However I still had the remote from my GX.

Easy, for me it’s the very first Alienware cases. Built by Antec/Cheiftec

In 2006, I needed one display to do everything for my college dorm so I saved up $800 and bought a 27 inch Westinghouse 768p display for my my PC, 360 and Wii gaming. Even at that time Windows was really rough to use at that poor PPI

But that’s what I love about PC gaming, we all have options to fit our preferences!

I saw a new oled monitor does 1440p700@ 720p. I was genuinely intrigued, though I can’t justify the money since I have that 480 already, but I don’t know if I’d feel about 720p @ 27” 😂

I used to do that though lol

I personally think 1080p is sharp enough for the types of games I would want to play at that refresh rate. 1440 is definitely better but 1080 means chance of hitting those higher frame rates

Playing MP4 at 120hz on NS2 and for the first time feeling 1080p is a little low but I AM playing at 77” 😅

I wanted the 32” dual mode but I got an INSANE deal on the Alienware 32” 4k QDoled through my Dell relationship, I couldn’t justify it so I use it on work setup, and later got the 1440p480 wOLED for my main gaming setup.

I use my 5090 on 1440p480hz (bought the Sony John recommended when BB put it on clearance sale) and 77G5 at 4k165. Soooo nice!

He’s using the LG OLED that does 5k Ultrawide 165hz or 1080p UW 330 so it would be 2560x1080

Japanese capacitor plague of the era. My late fat 360 (the only one with HDMI that could be JTAG modded back in the day, the last CPU revision fat had, forget name) had the caps all explode while stored in my home for a couple years :( So sad to lose it, like 30 caps exploded.

Any chance of an update for NS2, at least for 1080p handheld mode?

I think I have a Steam giftcard around here. When I find it I going to pick this up (job has been DOGE'd hard and my income cut big time so Im having to scale purchases way back :/)

Thanks! Even getting a quick idea from someone knowledgeable is quite useful :)

Anyone test this yet on SteamDeck OLED? Curious if it's fairly stable framerate (60 or 90?) I know the particle effects can get heavy.

One of the hardest fights I experienced on my play through the remake.

I eventually had Ramza mostly play hide and seek until the rest of the crew took out the adds, then hasted him through the door, providing some heels as needed. All while Ramza buffed himself during the run/hide.
