I'm guessing it's pretty random. the minute they get too involved in trying to match people up it gets complicated and then everyone gets entitled. "You guys told me he'd be gorgeous *and* rich!"

this episode actually made me want to visit Romania. I did notice so much English-first among the racers but, of course, editors fix the problem of failed attempts to solicit info from locals.

I know two attorneys. one became an attorney late in life, and one pretty much matches what you described. I left technology after thirty years and am pondering a brief return (it only has to be for a few years, and it's mostly for US reasons). if I do return it'll be low stakes.

I didn't notice the Czech boys (I'm all focused on Adam and Kyland). But the team cooperation is in line with early amazing race seasons where it was more common.
