do any of my pals here use iClone 8 for animation?

I need a decent tool for cleaning up mocap data and hand animating some stuff. The Reallusion store seems incredibly predatory with every tiny plugin costing $100+. Can I get away with just buying iClone?

Hollowbody's environments and atmosphere were my favourite part of the game. Just look at how awesome this looks. @headwaregames.bsky.social nailed the tone setting.

Yeah, I think if they'd kept the thickness of the strands consistent (same size as the outer parts) and a little softer it would fit a lot better overall.

notice how in the original, despite being a downsized photo the strokes (hairs? straw?) are a consistent size from the outer edge all the way to the middle, its not distracting from the rest of the image.

In the remake image there is so much fine detail that mario looks almost photoshopped in

I don't have a horse in this race, having never really been a mario guy but I think developers need to ditch this weird assumption that higher resolution/sharper textures = better?

I guess it's a carryover from HD rat race. There is way too much granular detail in this texture for the visual style

did you notice the hand on the desk to the left of this? Subtle reference to hand puzzle in SH1 where you use the chemicals to get it to open up :)

i use photo bashing, baked curvature/occlusion maps, multiply modes, clone brush and hand paintover. All done in 3DCoatTextura with a little photoshop alongside it.

I should mention that the texture here is still in my working resolution (2048), it will be halved when I import and some of the very fine detail (like on the seats) will become a bit more blurry and authentic looking. This model is intended as a hero asset for a cutscene for a game im working on.
