While I validate and understand fears and frustrations around the autocratic nature of Trump's cadre - it offers a true litmus test for whether the checks and balances of a constitutional republic can effectively pull the reins of presidential power.

These behaviors make sense because they protect our fragile inner world.
The person with a narcissistic disorder, however, is willing to do harm to others in the name of self-protection.

If you share hurt, fear, or vulnerability with your partner and they are dismissive or defensive
it may not be personal.

It may be them coping in ways that worked when they were a kid (& don't work now).

Assess your own safety & decide what resources you have to risk trying vulnerability again.

As different as we are from one another, as unique as each one of us is, we are much more the same than we are different.
