A reference page for an original character, VELVET. Includes a "splash" illustration where Velvet tripping over her own feet and trying to catch the paper spilling from her hands, one chibi Velvet who is raising a finger to her lips as though keeping a secret, a front and back reference of the character design, and depiction of the keys she keeps on her person at all times. The character of a maid who escapes an endless theatre performance, where wanderers are possessed by "roles" and repeatedly killed at the hand of an ever changing culprit in a thrilling mansion murder mystery. It has memories of being killed as well as being the killer, and sees itself as something eternally bloodied, so it dedicates itself to cleaning. NAME: VELVET [REDACTED] AGE: [REDACTED] PRONOUNS: SHE/HER, IT/ITS HEIGHT: 5'1" & 154 CM A character meant to be plot fodder. It somehow obtains a body of its own after The Manor collapsed. But what use is a role without a script to follow? BANGS - bangs look like blood dripping over face GLOVES - always on. TWO-PIECE SUIT - echoes a maid uniform with shoulder ruffles and back ribbon FRECKLES - red freckles are like blood splatter and appear where it received mortal wounds in the past KEYS - one for the manor, one for the servant's quarters THE RED HERRING THE KILLER MAID THE BAYONET THE SWITCHBLADE SETTING CO-WRITTEN WITH PRINCEHONEYTEA ART AND CHARACTER BY HEARTMUSH

A green-skinned figure embraces a cocoon that shimmers in muddy pine, rust, and orange colors. It almost looks like oil slick. The patterns on the cocoon appear to resemble eyes— petals that wrap around the figure's body. It smiles, a hollow black smile, its scarlet eyes gazing at the viewer with glee. The distorted text, "蛾想" (Rough translation: "Mothoughts", Moth + Thoughts) is written on the image, fitted between the cocoon's petals. This is a fanart of Yugica-P's song, Gasou. For this piece, I was inspired by Gustav Klimt's painting, "The Kiss", which is thought to depict a tender and passionate true love. I thought it would be interesting to illustrate a maggot-infested, all-consuming love instead. The same image as the left, but zoomed out— you can see the whole cocoon in this image, dripping with viscous fluid. The droplets form the words "恋情", meaning love sickness.

thank you lyre T_T it truly is such a shame because i've somewhat made peace with the fact that others will reference or take inspiration from my work (this is a normal thing to do imo) but when it comes to my signature, my person itself— those things are not up for grabs.

i'm going to be real, this kind of behavior is one of the reasons why i stopped streaming and posting speedpaints. i know i said i wanted to post more of them a few days ago, but it happened once again. i'm just so tired and anxious and it doesn't feel worth it anymore

to the person, if you're reading this: please try to expand on the amount of artists you're taking inspiration from. everyone takes inspiration from everyone, but it's very telling when theres only one subject of your inspiration, and you've taken things *way* too far.

while i don't mind others taking inspiration from me, and encourage learning from other artists, it is deeply upsetting and hurtful to see someone rip off my art and ocs as well as my literal person and way of speech like this. this is my identity, not just my art.

EVE. The Amaranth A sketchy illustration of a red-haired woman. She's wearing a white eyepatch and elegant clothes.
