Environmental scientist. Aside from that, I am also interested in fitness, cities, nerdy stuff and politics. Most political opinions are center-left/left
If you only have 2-3 days a week to hit the gym, I can't recommend doing a full body split enough. It allows you to train each muscle group multiple times a week. I switched to doing a full body split at the start of the year and have been making significantly more progress than before.

If Trump isn't a Russian asset, he sure does act like one. This deal offers nearly everything Russia wants without concessions, rewarding them for waging aggressive war. Ukraine gets almost nothing, and the US' role in maintaining peace is not guaranteed either. But of course, art of the deal!!
Trump's "final offer" for peace requires Ukraine to accept Russian occupation
The U.S. proposal is expected to be discussed tomorrow in London. Ukrainian officials aren't thrilled.

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

The fact that he posted on truth social to "buy" prior to announcing the pause is crazy.

An underappreciated aspect of walkable cities and human centric development is the impact on human health. Car centric development reduces the amount of incidental exercise people get, contributing to the long list of causes of poor health.

Massive win for democracy, when corrupt politicians can actually be held accountable for their crimes.
Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s far right and a leading candidate to become the country’s next president, has been barred from running for public office for five years, after she and her party were convicted of embezzling millions of euros of European Union funds. Here's what could come next.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

Republicans want you to think that Finland, Denmark, and Norway's high-performing education system is the result of perceived racial hegemony, as opposed to reality, which is that progressive taxation, wealth taxes, and higher marginal rates for the rich greatly improve society.

The United States of America is the only major country on earth that does not guarantee health care as a human right.

The result: We rank dead last among wealthy nations in life expectancy.

We must end that international embarrassment.

Yes. We need Medicare for All.

Please. No more speeches in the Senate about “freedom” until one Republican has the guts to stand up to Trump’s lies about Ukraine & Putin. Ukraine did not start this horrific war. Russia did. Zelensky isn't a dictator. Putin is. The US must not enter into an alliance with Putin.

Congestion pricing works. After one month in NYC:

↗️ Bus trips up 21% on weekends
⚡ Some car routes = 59% faster at peak
🌎 A MILLION fewer cars downtown

London & Singapore, now NYC proved it - smart pricing creates better cities. Toronto next?

In case you missed it: 2024 was the world's warmest year since @noaa.gov records began in 1850.

Global surface temperature was 2.32°F (1.29°C) above the 20th-century average. The 10 warmest years since 1850 have all occurred in the past decade.

It’s an understandable psychological response for people to ask how the #LAfires started & why the response wasn’t better. Coverage of these questions needs to use a systemic lens: These fires are difficult to conceptualize bc they are so unlike past fires.

While most public transport agencies think their job starts and ends at the turnstile, Dutch railways operate as a door-to-door mobility provider.

By investing in cycle parking and sharing, their ridership and revenue levels have steadily increased, creating a virtuous circle of sustainable travel.
