I negotiated TN status to PR to US citizenship over 15yrs. Daunting even for the privileged. I took busses and planes to border crossings, had to find Drs who were also friends, to sign docs vouching for my identify. I almost missed my green card interview bc they were calling for “Helmut Brown”
