My god this is a life changer! I always wear a light button down for sun protection when painting and have been wanting to find one with elastic cuffs. It works so well, and also loosens up some that are a little tight.

Longer nights. The moon and stars were still shining bright after my workout. By the time I drove to the park the moon was still up and by the time I finished the painting, the light hadn’t even touched the leaves. 🥺 I guess my morning paintings will just be a little darker this month. #pleinair

Broke my rule on not painting repeated subjects 😆. My workout this AM was exhausting and I sat in my car too long recovering. The sun was rising and it was so spectacular, I had to set up immediately and not waste any seconds looking for a comp. Post rain sunrises are the best! #pleinair

This is oil! The largest I’ve done with gouache is 18x24 I think 🤔, but this size would be doable. I just think framing it would cost a small fortune 😅.

I’ve been feeling pretty down and stuck these days. Didn’t want to paint at all, but after a LOT of sleep and good food, finally got out and went big. It was just what I needed. I’m tired on so many levels. My body…the world. But here’s a little painting for you. This Korean celadon vase was found for free at a yard sale. It matches the tea set my brother bought me. I really appreciate the dramatic teardrop shape. Roses were the paper roses I made. #painting #stilllife

This composition is one I’ve been thinking about for literal years. This tree is pretty special, and is a favorite among locals. It’s very iconic and sits on top of a hill. Two ravens are often up there, and it’s loved by hawks as well. #pleinair #california #oilpainting

Introducing my newest planter pots for carnivorous plants. These have been in development all year - “Ping” planter, 2PC bog planter, and nepenthes planter/saucer. They will make their debut at Maum Market on Sunday, Sept 21 from 11-4 at the Ferry Building in San Francisco.
