This baby has been on my jumping spider bucket list for years now so I went with a pair of my fellow jumping spider enthusiasts looking for one and right as we were packing up and leaving, we spotted this beautiful girl.

Best ambush bug (Phymata fasciata) photo I've gotten in my life! Getting chomped by mosquitoes, right before I fell on my ass in the mud. Still a good day.

Practicing what I learned at Bugshot from @alexwild.bsky.social and @dradriansmith.bsky.social and @abbottnature.bsky.social with a white box and two relatively uncooperative Phidippus putnami friends who where released back outside when they were done being models.

More Arizona pretty things from Bugshot including one of the neatest lynx spiders I've ever found.

Hello, you need to see some of the jumping Spiders I saw in Arizona at Bugshot a few weeks ago because all of them are smaller than a half an inch.

Decided to challenge myself with a frosty morning walk without my macro lens. I feel like not having the tools I'm used to forces me to be a little bit more creative and open to seeing other things. Photography really is the art of noticing.
