Pentagon Press Association statement on today
October 15, 2025 at 9:02 PM

There’s a lot to be said about the Pentagon restriction’s on press freedom and why so many of us are turning in our badges. But so many have already put it in good words. So here’s what I’ll say: tomorrow, I’m going to do my job. And the next day. And the next day.

If anyone wants to talk Navy/Marine Corps/Coast Guard personnel stories, I can always be found on Signal.

There’s really glamorous skating, like what you see at the World Team Championships right now, and then there’s this:

Not sure why I thought I would have any other career path than journalism given this is what I did growing up.

How it would feel to give Mochi a furever home! She’ll be available to adopt this week at Small Miracles Rescue in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Meet Mochi, my 6/7 -month-old foster pup. If you’re in/around Maryland, feel free to reach out about adopting!

I didn’t do @duolingoverde.bsky.social for one day, and this is my widget. Is there a more dramatic or passive aggressive owl out there?

I started skating two years ago, and it’s been such a great hobby for my work-life balance and mental health.

Today, I landed my first lutz-toe loop-loop combo, which is a big deal for an adult skater. The lutz is flutzy, but it’s a huge improvement.

I’m not one to play favorites, but this might be my favorite company at #West2025
January 28, 2025 at 7:06 PM
Given everything, it is kind of interesting to see Canada at #West2025.

Here’s something fun: a local coffee company has paired up with one of the industry members to produce coffee for #West2025.

I don’t love the snow, but my dog does, so now I hope we have snow every day.
January 11, 2025 at 10:49 PM
I hope everyone is enjoying the snow day as much as my pup.

So how’s adult skating going? This has got to be a metaphor for something.

There’s only three of us, but four stocking holders. So we hung a stocking for the spider I still can’t find in my office.
December 14, 2024 at 4:21 AM
This is my official returning to the office message. Took off a week to spend winter in Denmark and Iceland. And, of course, ice skate.
