I’m not happy with the democratic candidates, I’m also pissed at everyone who refused to vote. I’ve read comments that say everything would be the same if Harris had been elected. And that is just utterly dishonest bullshit.

It’s weird to me when people say that it’s democrats fault they lost and shouldn’t expect this far left to vote for them, but then say that they did actually vote for them. There were a lot of people saying that they would not vote, and actively trying to dissuade people from voting. Which is it?

This is my fear. They didn’t have a lot of control last time, but this time they do. I don’t think they’re going to relinquish control.

We HAVE to try to appeal to republicans. Not by going farther right, but by bringing them in. They live here too. We are not going to try to take away their rights just because the fascists have taken ours. And if the far left refuses to vote like they did last time, we need them.

DO THE WORK. Don’t just be mad that some people aren’t as far left as you are. You’re never going to talk people into going farther left my calling them fascists when they are absolutely not. Stop bitching and get off your ass and do something. Run for office yourself. Be part of a campaign.

If you’re going to complain about the candidates we have, do something about it. Rather than complain about how bad the past candidate was, start supporting good candidates now. Stop making ridiculous claims that the two were exactly the same and that we’d be in the same place if shed been elected.

We’re in this situation because when faced with a choice between fascism and status quo, a large percentage of people chose fascism. The choices were not the best, but one was 100% better than the other. And they either did a “protest vote” or didn’t vote at all. And that’s why this is happening.

Voting for someone outside of your own party means centrism isn’t dead. It’s not about the candidate being a centrist.

What’s wild is comparing inefficient and failing leadership with fascism. It’s not the same. They didn’t do what they should have. But there was no Gestapo shooting people in the back of the head on city streets. And there wouldn’t be now if you and people like had voted.
