And, to be clear, I am not saying that games like that are bad, just that this one aspect of it exist and come from console UI sensibilities.

Like, for all its problems, Mass Effect is indeed great. But it absolutely does have abbreviated dialogue options that lead to long sentences by Sheppard.

Titktok is posterior to all games mentioned, even Fallout 4, so I am not sure why you are bringing it up.

Anyway, I was specifically talking about the shortening of the dialogue options, which I am fairly certain is a console thing.

I don't know which game exactly, but I believe it was because RPGs transition from PC to console. Back in the time of the originals Fallout and Baldur's Gate you had whole dialogs in a menu which you selected with a mouse. But that is harder to select with a controller in a tv farther away.

What. Which is which?

Honestly, I think they have to know. They released a patch to fix the ending a month after Early Access supposedly ended. They have to know something went wrong somewhere. Even if they don't know exactly, they probably know a rushed fix can't actually solve all problems.

One of the reasons teachers tend to be left-ish is basic self preservation. The right loves to attack education so teachers need to protect their jobs, which often mean siding with the left. But outside that, if you look at actual ideology it is much more varied.

My point is, just because you particularly don't care, it doesn't mean it doesn't matter. The point of the original post is that it sucks Steam is selectively placing arbitrary restrictions without communication and that is true regardless of how gross the game is.
November 26, 2025 at 10:48 PM
I mean, you don't need to. I wrote my post from memory of looking new releases on the front page (there is also some porn in there). I look at the tag just to check and right away it showed by default one had a "slaves" in the name and the other had animal girls in the thumbnail. It is not hidden.
November 26, 2025 at 10:46 PM
There is porn involving slavery themes. And women as farm animals. You can find a lot of weird stuff on Steam by simply glancing at the 'sexual content' tag.
November 26, 2025 at 1:46 PM
If it was back in the day when porn and eroticism was categorically not allowed I would agree with you. But it isn't. Steam allow *so much* porn, of the most varied quality and content. I honestly didn't think they banned anything before receiving complaints, so the fact they *do* is notable

Does the comment stay on even after unfollowing (this comment is a test)? If so, then it shows how many hate comments are impulsive. The moment one need to jump through any hoops, no matter how small. it is not worth anymore.

It also looks less silly, imo. If it is obviously not part of the world I can easily abstract it away. But when it is diegeticly included, I can help but to wonder who spilled paint everywhere.

I am forever amazed how you can make shorts that actually feels like a mini essays.
November 17, 2025 at 3:23 AM
It is so sad when when I watch a video essay and half way through realize part way through the person doesn't actually have anything to *say*. Just random facts sown together without any actual point being made.

Oh, I guess they changed the name. I am pretty sure it was called a "pacifist run" at some point? Which is silly and untrue, but it *is* a fun video.

I wasn't ribbing of speed runs. Just that speaking for myself, i almost never had enough silk to heal because the point of the crest is to use spells. And I want to maximize silk regen, so I spend it all the moment I get 4 pips. Unless I stun the boss I never get to 9 silk anyway.
October 26, 2025 at 7:44 PM
I didn't think injector band was worth for Shaman. Like, yeah, it is practically the only way to heal on bosses, but I want all my silk for damage. To me the biggest advantage of the crest is not having to get too close to the boss to deal damage and gain silk, so avoiding damage worked as a strat
