When you see a theater production or a band play in a concert, the stage is carefully set and decorated, but just off stage behind the curtains it is usually a nightmare of filth and disorganization. Pure chaos.

Marketing is actually a real job. You have to be at work for the whole day, there's a laptop usually involved, sometimes you have to be on a Teams call, the whole shebang

I never got push notifications from Twitter until I made the switch over to Bluesky. Now I get a notification every couple few hours. What's up with that.

I think I'll miss arguing with right wingers on Twitter, but that had also became less fun over the past couple years. When Elon took over, right wingers abandoned any pretense of caring about making arguments or appearing rational. Once they dominated the site there was no need.

"findom" to me is bullshit, in the same way that casinos or cigarettes are bullshit. Oh you've found a type of guy that has a weird addiction and you've set up a business to take advantage of that guy to personally enrich yourself? Wow that's so interesting and legitimate.

I've been working night shifts for about a month now and my body has not gotten used to it yet. Does it ever get better??

You know how certain words just feel weird to you?
For me one of those words is "warmonger". I just don't like the way it sounds or feels in my mouth. I wish it had a good synonym.
It also just feels like you should be wearing chainmail if you say it. It seems anachronistic.
