the combine and player weapons in particular had horrible specular maps in the original 2004 version. l4d2 also suffers from having sloppy reflections in most assets

it looks weird because during development when valve made new textures for the crowbar, they forgot to change the handle. so the green wear you see is actually from the beta crowbar! (and there's a mod in gamebanana that fixes that :])

i personally use spectacle, by default it wants to save at fullscreen, but you can configure it to rectangle selection and then send it to clipboard
