i'm still suffering from ex-gifted kid syndrome so i just need to learn how to get off my ass and work hard to do accomplish something bc not everything will come to me naturally. ugh. but also yay because learning new things feels rewarding. but still ugh.

the whole AI bubble has shown me that no--i DON'T want to instantly poof things into existence without any effort--but sometimes i just wanna play something that doesn't exist yet, or listen to a piece of music that i made up without having to learn music programs.

like i really love the learning process, every inch of progress feels like a mile and it's just a type of joy that i can't re-experience without learning a new skill.

i'm trying to cherish and enjoy the process of modeling, but it's so hard when it feels like an obstacle to game development

i'm not sure about the actual objective yet.

i'm tied between sticking to the genre and making it a money goal, or having all EXP gains contribute to a total EXP goal, so that monster encounters are a part of the objective.

players can gain EXP by finding/using certain items, and by encountering monsters. EXP can be used to change your character's body or give them new abilities.

players can earn money by selling research and spend it on clothing, which can buy them more time to escape encounters. or to look stylish.

when your health reaches 0, you become incapacitated and have to sit through a long recovery. during this time, you can crawl (given you aren't too heavy), but you're also exposed to the monsters (some which have special interactions with incapacitated players).
