I feel that! Whenever I get covid or flu shots I ache like I was tossed off a building. It's not really a *bad( feeling, not like being actually sick, but all I want to do is snuggle in a comforter with a book and a hot cup of tea until I pass out.

Yeah the problem is that the GOP actually wants a shutdown. They will blame it on the Dems, sure, but they want it. It's all in Project 2025 (yeah that old refrain), they want to force a shutdown and then fire everyone not involved with DHS or the military.

I know Pritzker is focusing on the legal aspects (as he is a lawyer, I understand) and encouraging everyone to document anything and everything. This is still good advice for now, I think, as the takeover of the justice system is not entirely complete. I really don't know where we go from here.

Well ideally the CPD would be enforcing this, but as we all know, the FOP shitlord is not going to enforce it. I guess it's performative, but if it comes down to a legal battle then at least we have a state's rights platform to contest it. For now, at least. I dunno man it all sucks
