On Monday I had an Art Date with a dear friend and the paper I'd brought was an inadequate size to capture the details. So, she insisted I take some of her larger paper to give Thranduíl the grand scale he deserves.

After WEEKS of a creative blockage and indecision my brain latched on to a new idea enough to move forward. I just can't choose which of these lovely poses of Thranduíl to use.

So! My idea is to put it to my followers. Image with the most likes/votes by morning gets the green light.

No photos yet, but oh man, finishing the painting about did me in. There are minor touch ups, none near the floor, so I can move past painting today!

I was too tired last night to finish taping, but I have now. When the sun quits beating through that window I'll start on trim and touch-ups.

I know I said I'd do a video, but without the studio it is just not in the cards yet.
However, I present my very first custom-framed piece.

Found last summer. The last piece of art I clearly remember working on in my 20's. TBH I thought it was lost or destroyed, instead it was tucked in a stack of my old artwork. Unfinished after the better part of 20 years. 🫠

I will not let Lord Sesshomaru down, and it will be finished.

It has been one helluva week. I made a simple logo out of free-use graphics until I can make the one I sketched into a digital image. I planned out a bunch of things for the studio, upcoming posts, and projects.

More progress on the P&P piece

I went without making art for almost 20 yrs until I started this Aug '24. Finished before Xmas, and is now being framed.
