Feeling contrived celebrating Christmas today. This time it's lonelier since mom is gone. It's different than when I've spent the occasion from a non-celebrating country of Qatar. I am home, in my family house, with only me residing alone. Don't know if I need to be festive or not. Mixed thoughts.

Whoosh. Finished the Christmas tree setup just now @5pm Christmas Eve. Didn't put the lot of ribbons & other colorful decors from the boxes in the attic that mom used to put. I'm still not sure what goes on in a mother's mind to have the patience to fancy a Christmas tree. Heavy heart setting up. 😢🌲

I think I have never experienced office Christmas parties or year-end parties my entire life. Specially when my (former) surrounding Arab and Indian colleagues don't celebrate them.

このパターンは以前から気になっていたのですが、女優さんには今でもよく見られる現象だと思います。北川景子さんは今でも「セーラーマーズ」との繋がりを避けているようで、メディアやテレビ番組でキャラ名の使用が許可されていない限り、名前を口にしたり、自身を「セーラーマーズ」と結びつけたりすることさえ避けています。しかし、「Reiko レイ子」という名前は今でも認められています。所属事務所のスターダストプロモーションなのか東映なのかは分かりませんが、2004年の実写版セーラームーン「SPECIAL ACT」ビデオで景子ちゃんがマーズコスチュームを着なくなった頃から、この傾向は続いていますね。

Is it bad that I'm only setting up the Christmas tree this late? Originally, I didn't have the 'courage' to put it because it's always my mom who used to put the Christmas tree up. Still feeling the blues doing this at present.

Hmmm, why did I notice this now? Anime88 Walker magazine stopped publishing newer editions and the last one was 2023 Lycoris Recoil cover. Is there something wrong with Kadokawa side of 88 lately? 😀 But the updated map pamphlets still continue in both languages if not as fully nationwide distributed

Probably my 1st Christmas dilemma in the house: should I set up the Christmas tree? I am Catholic though, but personally it's my mother who always sets up the tree while I help her. Now she is gone. I don't personally get visitors as much as my mom where people see what the house displays.

I've been (re)watching The Beatles Anthology documentary since last week (saw the series back in 1998). Now I'm watching the movie documentary Becoming Led Zeppelin. TIL Led Zep members were older in age than the Beatles members. They seem to share similar music inspirations like Little Richard.

I mean I do have a life other than location scouting & anime pilgrimage. As someone who lives overseas, I consider it 'lucky' if I get the time & expenses to even visit & do pilgrimage in Japan. There is that difference from many already living there, and that is why my C joining is on hold.

Yesterday night (or hours earlier), I was watching the battle for 3rd Place and the Finals of the 1st Fifa Futsal Women's World Cup live. Brazil was the 1st Champion against Portugal, while Spain got the 3rd spot against Argentina.
