Your teaching there had a sweet resonance for me; your dad welcomed me and helped me find my voice as a baby grad student from WV at Temple. That beautiful but benighted state, sheesh. Anyway, thanks for the care you brought to teaching us scholars from the hollers!

Am making a point everywhere I go to say, “yeah, not doing awesome, Elon cancelled my job.” Not as personal sadness entirely, but as a political “hey, this is happening to someone you know.”
