WXXI's Connections with Evan Dawson just had a great segment on impacts of IMLS and other federal funding cuts for local communities.

ALA is deeply concerned by reports that IMLS is sending notices to libraries claiming to cancel grants that are required by law. This harmful action will disrupt libraries' ability to serve their communities.

My son picked out this "votes for women" mug from the Susan B. Anthony House gift shop in 2023. He was horrified to hear women were jailed for trying to vote. Just two years later, as I drink my morning coffee from it, the slogan no longer feels like an historical memento but a current issue.
