That it is. It has fundamentally changed the nature of teaching how to research. My major project this year for grade 11 will need to be as much about sourcing as it is about content.

So much in this debate ends up being about cost. My school no longer buys access to databases of scholarly (or even encyclopedia) sources or newspapers. Students (and everyone else) don’t want to “spend” time on hard research and corroboration. AI is free and fast. (Even if often wrong).

What a moving and inspiring talk. I was lucky to be there! Contextualizing the role of education over the course of US history “enlightened” me . I’m thankful for the big picture and the hope you have for changing media.

Literally assigning some academic Haiti readings next week for my APWH class "Harkness". I may pair some of these articles and have students run multiple discussions about Toussaint era, Dessaline to Christophe, and US reactions. THANKS!
