That sounds like a fair assessment. I used to work in behavioral health as a case manager. Aside from Suboxone, they offer addicts outpatient group therapy, maybe individual therapy, but that's less likely. Inpatient treatment is offered too, but there is very limited space. We need to do better.

You're not wrong. AA is heavily Christian. I've been to several meetings in the past with my son's father. Despite the Christian undertones, I always got something positive out of the meetings and never, in any way, felt like I was being recruited. Not all groups operate exactly the same obviously.
