I never did own the Land trilogy until they came out on the 3DS virtual console. I played a little bit of DKL3 at a friend’s house. However I tried to rent DKL2 multiple times but the game was trapped in the Blockbuster container and could never be opened no matter what.

I’m definitely a Country kid, although I never owned DKC1 somehow. It was always a rental. I did own DKC 2 and 3 though and the rest is history.

Me too, Rare should have the rights to rerelease them since the publisher THQ went bankrupt years ago. We’ll have to wait and see, at the very least the DKC Advance trilogy has a very good chance at showing up on NSO.

I think the IP could be revived eventually. Nintendo is already out there bringing the Donkey Kong series back into the mainstream so anything is possible. A rerelease on NSO will happen, the real question is whether or not it comes before or after Star Fox Adventures or the DKC Advance trilogy.
