This from a man that’s benefitted greatly from socialism himself, what with his free housing, giant pension, excellent health plan and benefits. All on the public dollar. Imagine if he actually had to work for his wages and pay for his housing, personal chef, chauffeur, etc. like a real capitalist.

And 2026 isn’t looking to start out great either. The battle of feelings around my dad and his approaching death, and the worries surrounding my husband’s cancer diagnosis have made Christmas and the new years kind of crappy. On the plus side, the new job I started at end of Oct is going better now.

Gordie is picture 1 & 3, Atticus is #2, and the last one is Gordie and Chewie, who has only gotten chonkier since that photo was taken, about 5 years ago. Gordie and Chewie are 11 now, and Atticus is 9. They love cuddles, belly rubs, and food of any kind.

The day before the election, his shit should’ve been packed and on the front lawn. That way he was ready to move out, whatever the outcome. Just my opinion, but anyone that can afford to live anywhere in the country should have to rent or purchase their home. No more housing subsidy for politicians.

Told mine that his were on the Christmas tree, since they were removed just before Christmas. Promptly climbed into the tree to look for them, just not the same day as his surgery.

But the article makes excellent points on added protein not meaning it’s better for you. Those lattes and other products still tend to be high in sugar or fat for better taste or texture reasons. The biggest part of losing weight ( if that’s the goal) is less calories in. 🙂

Perhaps. People like me that have had bariatric surg do need to focus on protein and nutrient levels largely bc we have a significantly lowered absorption ability post-surgery. Does that mean that I need 800grams a day? No. It’s more of trying to fit enough in to meet needs. 🤷♀️

The premier of Alberta waited idk how long now and there still hasn’t been a by-election for one Calgary riding. I can’t recall how long it was for the by-election in the riding she actually ran that she doesn’t have any ties to, except she needed a seat. I know it’s at the provincial level, but…
