A shower of dust erupted as the cave wall came tumbling down. I coughed and beat my wings to clear the air. A dark gaping hole loomed where the wall once was. I approached and stuck my head through. A long, straight tunnel stretched off into the pitch darkness. A lava tube. Where there was one, there were bound to be more. This place was probably riddled with caves and tunnels from long passed lava flows. I grinned. This would be my edge. This was how I would crush the humans.
“I’m going to make a dungeon,” I hissed into the darkness.

“No pass,” he repeated. He pointed into the city. “Carthakeel Arena that way.”
I groaned.
“We are not going to the arena. We need to get out of the city. We’re hunting a dragon. You know? Dragon?”
I flapped my arms like wings and bared my teeth, letting out a little growl.
Behind me, Justice coughed and Ollie smothered a snigger. I hid my glare, promising internally to get back at them later. Hel stepped forward with a small notebook. She pointed at a page with one of her smaller daggers. I looked and was surprised to see quite a detailed depiction of the All-Fire dragon drawn in charcoal.
“We. Hunt. This,” she said, levelling her icy gaze on the guards.
The nearest few shrank back, their grips tightening on their weapon hafts.

Progress on #Dragon'sBlood edit has been stymied as I recover from an illness that makes me unable to sit down for long periods of time!
Will attempt further editing whilst laying on my face in bed instead...

Similar to when I get ideas in the shower! I either chant the main gist over and over until I get out and can write it down, or I get out half way and drip across the room to jot it on my phone. Then I puddle back into the shower and forget whether I've actually washed myself or not.

“Earth essence is easy for me now,” I replied.
Yipping and chattering came from one of the tents nearby. Rili and Therin dashed over. Rili poked at the newly formed rock and Therin chased one of the errant brown sparks.
My snarled muzzle softened at their antics.
Therin sprinted out ahead of me.
“Tuetin! Tuetin!”
I chuckled and sent another flurry of brown sparks to wrap around him. They found grains of sand and dirt embedded in his fur and drew them out, leaving the cub less dusty. Therin’s eyes shone as the tiny dust devil twirled around him.
