How many of you are really struggling emotionally now because of everything that is happening in the USA? My insomnia is getting worse, stomach hurts most of the time, severe headaches, and can’t stop picking at my cuticles. Barely dragging myself to work every day. Hanging on by a thread.

Remember the Twilight Zone episode called “It’s a Good Life,” where Billy Mumy played the little brat with supernatural powers? His family and the rest of the town are justifiably afraid of him and must obey him or get banished/killed. That reminds me of something current.

I feel so sick at my stomach right now about today’s freezes on Medicaid, veterans’ benefits, etc. Does it affect me? Not yet, but it will when they repeal the ACA. (I’m self-employed, so I get my health insurance through the Marketplace.) Have they come for you yet? If not, they probably will.

Today dawned below freezing in my home state. It is red, and I am blue. The bitter wind is outside my door and inside my heart. How the hell did we get here… again? Never mind, I know. Knowing doesn’t make it easier, though. I’ve lost friends and a family member over this election. We will see.
