It's a nice little town with a mix of traditional Basque culture and modern architecture from famous architects Gehry (Guggenheim), Calatrava (bridge, airport) and Foster (metro system). And excellent food 😃

Reflected view of Bilbao's Guggenheim Museum on the Nervion river on a cloudy evening at blue hour. Designed by Frank Gehry, the museum’s structure is a complex interplay of abstractly curved forms, evoking a sense of ordered chaos. Although the metallic form of the exterior looks almost floral from above‭, ‬from the ground the building more closely resembles a boat‭, ‬evoking the past industrial life of the port of Bilbao‭. ‬Constructed of titanium‭, ‬limestone‭, ‬and glass‭, ‬the seemingly random curves of the exterior are designed to catch the light and react to the sun and the weather‭.
