The same very much applies to breastfeeding and bottle-feeding and historical constructions around these. I experienced the awful double-whammy of being subjected to the guilt and shame surrounding a c-section *plus* bottle feeding.

This essay feels very close to home: 'Compared with a “natural birth” or “normal vaginal delivery,” the language used to describe caesarean birth implies that it is in some way unnatural and inferior'
