Over the last few years we have been developing methods for markerless motion capture of biomechanics and getting them into the clinics, such as at @abilitylab.bsky.social.

We are now developing foundation models from these large datasets and testing what this enables. Two recent preprints:

Saying that the US should let other countries take their turns at being the global leader in biomedical research really makes no sense at all.

Sure. While we’re at it, let’s also stop being leaders in terms of economic influence and military might.

Kudos to @jeremymberg.bsky.social’s quick reply

Senator Durbin noted that some (I believe Republican Senators) had indicated the US had been doing more than its share of biomedical research and it was time for other countries take a turn.

I felt I had to interrupt to respond...

International students upend their lives to join American science, bringing their novel insights that drive innovation.

Now, they are being illegally targeted by Trump, because Harvard won't back down.

Classic bully behavior.

🧪 What the f is going on with NSF right now??? 🚨🚨🚨

There's been so many NSF updates within the past 48 hours that it's hard to keep track.

It feels like an onslaught. It *is* an onslaught. But it's still vital to remain focused, organized, and strategic.

So here's my recap of past 48 hours...
