One of my absolute favourites in the winter garden! This twisted hazel provides interest all year round with its beautiful branches, but at this time of year, it looks particularly stunning in the sunshine with its catkins and dainty red flowers.

I'm really happy with my first attempt at botanical casting! It's really brought out the beautiful detail of the twisted hazel catkins and flowers! Now, for some fine tuning of my process and a few experiments with other clays and finer plasters!

Whilst trying to take videos of the snowdrops dancing in the breeze under the apple tree yesterday, this little garden visitor hopped onto my hand! A welcome sign that the weather is warming up and spring will soon be on its way!
