It's official, I'll be in Minneapolis Feb 5th-9th, got one shoot on the 8th and three (3!) on the 9th, but I figure I can manage two more before my brain turns to mush, so hit me up if you wanna make some art on the 7th or 8th!

1 potato, 1 onion, 1 egg, 1 matzoh, plenty of salt and pepper. That's the ratio for two latkes, scale up as needed. Shred potatoes, rinse several times, squeeze dry with shred onion, add everything else, form into patties and fry in plenty of oil, flipping twice. Serve with applesauce and sour cream

I've been playing around with toning silver gelatin prints with selenium and gold, to give them a slight warm/cool contrast and fix the image to last centuries without fading.

I've been doing a lot of nudes lately but here's some SFW landscapes I did in Death Valley

Dreaming of Swedish summers while I book shoots for the coldest part of the winter in one of the coldest parts of the country (see you Feb 5th-9th Minneapolis!)

Still have time for a couple more boudoir shoots, hit me up if you wanna make some art! Sliding scale is available!

Photo unrelated just letting y'all know I'm trying to book shoots in Denver, Minneapolis, and Chicago this winter. Also Lindy Focus. I have so many ideas and I am at the top of my game right now

So uh who's around Chicago and want's to go play around an abandoned church in the snow this January or maybe February?

Made biscuits, forgot to brush butter on top or they'd be prettier. Chanterelle mushroom gravy (spouse is vegetarian) not pictured

The black border around this photo is a bit of a flex, because it means I actually held my camera straight to get that horizon level 😅

One more of Jenny, lying on a dock on a lake near the Baltic Sea in Sweden this summer. Shot on 35mm film, printed in my local darkroom and lightly toned in selenium and gold. I think I'm getting the hang of this fine art nude thing, yeah?

So excited to finally be able to share some of the nudes I shot in Sweden this summer! I cannot decide between these two, do you have a favorite?

I'm cute, too

Olivia walking along the lakeshore in Chicago earlier this summer. Print is washing after fixing, soon to be toned in selenium and the last of my gold chloride.

Man I love playing with film

Selenium to warm the print up. The blue tint is the indicator for the archival wash I added in. The selenium converts the silver to silver selenide, which is a rich brown in color and also lasts many times longer without fading, likely hundreds of years.

More darkroom magic, featuring nudes of Jenny shot in Sweden this summer. Doing a lil experiment testing papers and toning so I just made 8 duplicate prints, 4 each of two papers. One pair I'm toning in selenium, one in gold, one in both, and one set is untouched for comparison

Absolutely thrilled with how these came out. The slight color cast is from the split toning process, which also fixes the image to last centuries without fading

Ngl I'm kinda proud of my lil scanning setup. Two lights set to either side and 45 degrees above to evenly and flatly light the print, with a polarizing filter on my lens to eliminate any glare. Ran through all 20 prints and now I'm setting up to shoot a bunch of my spouse's paintings
