Before Better Streets saved transit funding, there was a news report that said CTA might have to reduce operations after 9 p.m. if they didn't get the bill passed. Imagine an event like this with no public transit options. Public transit saves lives, reduces OWIs.

In "Against the Fascist Creep" by Alexander Reid Ross says white supremacist groups were early adopters of the internet and message boards. Then you get Something Awful, Rotten and the chan websites. Many mainstream journalists don't understand or know about the influence of these sites, IMO.
