Tell Congress: No book bans in military schools
Schools run by the Department of Defense on military bases have banned hundreds of books and altered curricula that the Trump administration doesn't agree with. Take action.

The so-called Department of War has banned nearly 600 books this year from military bases or schools. They’ve targeted books that “promote gender idealogy” or “DEI.” Not surprisingly my book, DOOR BY DOOR (written by Meeg Pincus, illustrated by me) is one of those banned books. 1/

My ink, watercolor, color pencil illustration of family of rabbits visiting on an autumn day. Mama Bunny leads the way carrying a pumpkin tureen. Followed by sister bunny holding a bag of apples. The bag has a hole at the bottom and it's leaking apples. Which causes the bunny behind her to trip, throwing his plate of cupcakes in the air. The bunny bringing up the rear is carrying a pie and is distracted by the cupcakes. Hopefully he won't trip on an apple. This is a self- promotional postcard - my contact on the bottom reads: Diana Ting Delosh • illustrator/storyteller • diana delosh.com represented by Lynnette Novak of The Seymour Agency

Some takeaways from ABC/Disney backtracking on Kimmel:
1) Corps only care about $$
SCOTUS says money is speech. So use your voice! Boycotts work. Collective action works!
2) A huge amount of energy went into helping Kimmel. We need that same energy for book bans & attacks on marginalized creators.

Ugh, of course they weren’t. Boo to that! And I agree, hyper focusing isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I can’t read the article, but has the parent of autistic kids, I generally find these articles infantilizing. Also I’d be curious to see how many autistic voices are included in this article.

I’m heartbroken but not surprised that people are calling for my &Meeg’s bio of Sarah McBride 2be destroyed. Book bans are a prime tool of fascism

It’s why we need 2 support LGBTQ+ books-which are overwhelmingly targeted in book bans. Buy them, positively review them, check them out in the library!
