Good interview, Matt! All I could think the whole time was “Yikes!” GC came off as a spoiled child and the fact that they don’t see an issue with the Saudis being involved with CNN is freighting. I really hope viewers are paying attention to who owns the entertainment they consume.

Not to mention a lot of us make our living through tourism and a spill would decimate that industry.

They want us to give up s/m so they can put our producers out of business and buy up their farms. That’s what happened in the US to smaller producers. They were never able to price match and now the industry is consolidated. The American way now. No competition anywhere.

Hopefully you end up with a similar situation! I WFH and I walk by every night and it’s parking lot is full of cars but I really haven’t noticed any major changes.

I live around the corner from a 39 unit infill and it has honestly brought very little extra traffic to our neighbourhood. I thought the street would be constant cars and people but it’s not. (I was not opposed) People need to calm down.

This. He’s a shit human but what’s with the ageism in all these comments. This is exactly why people are doing crazy plastic surgeries to their faces at 40 now. No one is getting the Kris Jenner. They just look old and weird.

If you don’t understand why people don’t want to support a company owned by Musk then you’re not paying attention. He is actively promoting nazism & white supremacy in the US and UK. And if you’re ok with that then you’re part of the problem. He’s not hiding who he is any more.

This. And both the MPs that crossed are in swing ridings claiming they did what their constituents want. Why call an expensive election for the same result? And at a critical time with the US. We need leadership right now, not an election.

He used the term “Enough is enough” which I think is probably a right wing dog whistle. Considering the area is VERY conservative I wouldn’t be surprised.

In Canada we had a subsidy for individuals buying EVs and Tesla manipulated their sales numbers taking millions in tax $ they were not entitled to. I’m not sure what happened in the end, whether they paid the $ back or not.

Cybertruck drivers are for sure terrible people. That doesn’t mean Tesla should get a pass. They knowingly sold a $100k+ trash can and should be held accountable.
