Amid shattered homes and constant shelling, a cat was found alive in a destroyed building — covered in dust, trembling, but breathing.

In Ukraine, orphanages have been forced underground into bomb shelters. children living in spaces that feel more like catacombs than a place to grow up. Air raid sirens go off at all hours, even 3:00am, forcing caregivers to create permanent shelter underground just to keep them safe.
