Another thing I love about 🇨🇭: one of our 7 kind-of-presidents (just roll with it), from the far right party, just showed up to a leftist bookstore to happily receive a joke award (presented by Jake & Elwood Blues?) for the time he said “a good place to start is at the beginning” on national TV.

Did I celebrate Kansas Day at the office? Did I carve into the corner of the cake like the Missouri River carves into the state? Is “Home on the Range” its state song?! Who cares! There was cake 🍰

Thoughts & prayers to the teachers in the professional development class I just walked by, staring at a slide explaining why it’s important for kids to want to do well in math. I’ve seen these same long-suffering faces in Chicago, Berlin, Lausanne, and now Zurich.

I ❤️ the SBB: I’ve been listening to a guy speak high German for 1.5 hrs NONSTOP about how he should organise a “kind of conference but not” about niche philosophical concepts, egged on by a gal (“du bist ein sprachlicher Blumenstrauss!”) and then talking himself out of it. I’m genuinely impressed.
