Traditional change management fails because it treats organizations like machines. This video explains a different approach: the #ThreePercentRule - a mathematical algorithm showing how change actually spreads through a small group of people within human systems.

Gave the book The Social Capital Imperative to my Doctorate Director.
My chapter reminds us: collaboration works when we strengthen informal networks, elevate connectors, and use ONA to reveal how work truly happens.

Most see only hierarchy & informal networks. But networks can be designed. We built an Adaptive Teams Network of 1100 teams in 89 countries, unlocking agility & impact. Join me at #ONASummit2025 to explore how to design networks that thrive in complexity.

Leaders think they can only shape org charts, not networks. Wrong. Informal networks can be designed into **Adaptive Teams Networks** that drive agility + impact. Join me + Dr. Leandro Herrero at #ONASummit2025 to learn how. Register today & shape the future of work.

Organizational charts miss real leaders. As Shared Leadership shows, power isn’t the point—trust is.

With an Adaptive Teams Network, we identify and back informal connectors, lifting cross-market collaboration from 5% to 57%.

Where is trust beating titles in your org?

Leadership isn’t fixed—it’s shared, situational, and adaptive. In the Black Forest with Randolf Jessl, co-author of Shared Leadership, we discussed how interconnected goals and Adaptive Teams Networks build resilience, speed, and impact.

Real change doesn’t start with policies or org charts—it starts in invisible webs of trust. We learned to map and engage cultural carriers, the connectors everyone turns to. That’s how transformation sticks. How do you activate your informal influencers?

Social Capital is an engine for change. We revealed, developed, and leveraged bridges across silos, boosting cross-market collaboration from 5% to 56% and unlocking $500M in value in a global Pharmaceutical company—full story in "The Social Capital Imperative", edited by Greg Pryor.

Structure doesn’t scale impact—social capital does.
In Directionally Correct, Greg Pryor & Kristin Cullen-Lester share NASA, J&J & my Roche case, where activating hidden networks unlocked $500M value. Reveal, develop, leverage your organizational networks.

We increased cross-market collaboration 5x by activating informal networks. I share how cultural carriers and shared rituals scaled trust-based transformation in The Social Capital Imperative. What strengths could a network of adaptive teams unlock in your org?

Myth: Workforce planning = job titles & skills inventories.
Truth: Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) unlocks the potential of adaptive teams and makes connections between skills and outcomes.
We've utilized ONA to establish a network of adaptable teams!
Have you used ONA for WSP?

In “The Social Capital Imperative”, Greg Pryor reminded us that networks are about _value_. We began with a business challenge: connect expertise across markets to accelerate patient impact. The results proved the power of purposeful networks.

Most orgs tackle 21st-century problems with 19th-century structures. "The Social Capital Imperative" shows a better way. I share the story of 45 hidden influencers who mapped innovation and coordinated launches across 12 markets. Proof that relationships outperform rigid structures. #SIOP25

At the launch of "The Social Capital Imperative", we shared how moving from network insights to action sparked >1,100 Adaptive Teams in 89 countries. We moved from insight into activating networks to drive real impact. How are you turning insight into action? #SIOP25

Value is the position you defend when it costs you! Congratulations to Harvard for demonstrating the value of democracy and independent research, even when losing USD 2.2B. Others should follow!

At #HNPW Geneva, we shared how 5–8% of informal leaders helped mobilize 90% of a 13K-person network. By trusting relationships over structure, 14 self-managed communities emerged. Real change starts at the edge. Who are the informal forces driving change in your organization?

I learnt at #HNPW 2026 that there is a lot to learn from the Humanitarian. Its core principle is the innate human altruism. Nevertheless, the sector is forced to rethink its structures, operations and forms of partnerships... A lot more to learn and to innovate!

@jeppehansgaard.bsky.social I totally agree. To be a doer requires courage to face the critics, to change the status quo and to be in a minority.
That’s why I’m talking about from Insight to Impact at #SIOP25.
