#njcurj Parenting is revered in my culture and others, yet the system only helps some parents. While "welfare moms" are demonized, "deadbeat dads" disappear. I say this as a woman of color: reproductive justice entails fairness, compassion, and lack of guilt.

#njcurj With so many people bearing the burden of forced births, medical racism, or generational loss, it is impossible to divorce reproductive justice from pain. Justice entails paying attention, keeping in mind, and turning suffering into defense.

#njcurj It went by the title "population control." We refer to it as violence. No Más Bebés serves as a reminder that sterilization abuse is still happening today. Reproductive justice remains an argument in jails and ICE detention facilities.
