Thanks, these are great guiding questions. It's interesting to view them from a European perspective. There's a lot of overlap with our data management plans. Some of the answers are governed by laws, some by EU or local government directives.

Very cool effect, but your brain is right--they are not the same color. There are two surfaces there that have the same color values in the bitmap, but given the implied lighting conditions that means the blocks are different colors, just as your brain is telling you.

I've never understood exactly what he meant by that, but it's stuck in my mind. :-)

I for one am very interested in how Schleswig-Holstein is coming along with their project to move 30,000 state employees to a 100% open source environment. Hopefully more will follow, and the more do, the more shared resources there will be for solving problems along the way.
