“Butterfly Craft”
9 x 12 inch. Eraser drawing.

Over the holidays, I kept dreaming about butterflies. Giant ones with white sparkling wings. But whenever I drew them they never seemed right. Here was the first attempt.

One of my first oil paintings from 2022, done on a tiny piece of scrap wood found near a construction site. The sky is actually just the light blue primer that was used on the wood ☁️

The location is Ohariu Valley in the Wellington region - an area full of farms, hills, and mountain bike trails

Here are a few oil paintings I sold in 2024 organically through IG without gallery representation.

I spent the end of fall planning out some larger works which I'm excited to get started on soon!

Seeing how Bluesky compresses and crops this painting...

It's from a bike ride I did around Lake Scucog (Started and finished in Port Perry). I remember biking up and down this road to get a photo from the right angle of the rolling hills overlapping.

This little silver vessel is one of my favourite pieces to paint. It was from my late grandparents house. I'm so pleased they were hoarders!
