Retired Biochemist, Climate Activist, Science Geek. I'm working with others to get biochemists (researchers, educators) and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) to address climate change and its mitigation.
To help biochemists/educators incorporate climate change into their courses and for their students, I've written Chapter 32: Biochemistry and Climate Change, part of Fundamentals of Biochemistry, a LibreText book.

We must advocate for our professional organizations and colleagues to address climate change in their courses and research. Students seek relevance. Climate change could not be more relevant. Here is one paper we wrote. Another to follow.

I started in astronomy, saw the light, switched to physics, felt the existential quantum angst and escaped into chemistry and became a biochemist. Finally, late in my career, I felt the heat and became a climate activist.
