Former journalist from Finland that turned to Bluesky for Arsenal content when the little bluebird went crosseyed. Mostly a lurker, occasional reposter and commenter.

Finland 1997, 14 yo. One PL-game a week on tv. We used to bet in a system like The Football Pools. My friend supported Arsenal, I didn't have a team. I did, however, have a poster of Dennis Bergkamp in a Holland shirt on my wall, and when I realized he played for Arsenal ... a new fan was born.

Thanks for sharing! It's been a tough watch from afar.

Have they ever been?

I was for the league format, but against the increase in teams. They could've made the same change but with fewer teams and only six games as before.

Same is pretty much true for Bodø/Glimt as well, which make their journey even more impressive.

Havertz! ❤️🤍

It doesn't sound very much like Arteta, though. He doesn't seem to be the type throwing a tantrum.
But I agree on the part that his style of football doesn't really cater for a traditional no 9.

It's more the players reactions that worries me. They looked beaten when the goal came.

Thanks for the tip! At the moment this feels like a must read.

Took me a while to realize you didn't talk about a player called Fancy Jesus.

They didn't break themselves. But they didn't win either.
... and KuPS got through to the play off stage on that result. Pretty impressive for a Finnish side playing in off season.

KuPS had a third goal flagged for offside before taking an unfortunate but stupid red card. 2-2 now. Not many first team players on the field for CP, and the few that got subbed on (Guehi, Mateta, Nketiah, Hughes, Mitchell) won't have to break themselves for a win. Not ideal for Arsenal that.

I mean, the result is in the picture (top left), and the article starts with the sentence "Noni Madueke". Even without understanding Flemmisch you can see that Arsenal is quite present in the text. But it naturally focuses on Brügge.

The difference here is that Salah is the biggest player ever in the Arabic world. Still, PIF probably can afford to push the price down quite a bit because of the circumstances.

I was just thinking that I've missed him. Timber might be better, but I really enjoy watching Benny Blanco play football.

Well yes. Otherwise we couldn't play like we do.

Beeches would indeed indicate Edulis. Reticulatus can be found with oak or hazel, at least here in the Nordics. This might just be an unusually lightly colored Edulis, then.

There might be a difference in France, because of different host trees(?), but this looks more like a Boletus Reticulatus to me. Edulis is normally darker up here. They taste the same, though.

It is probably moose, since elk is native to North America. We have a lot of moose here in the north, though. The meat is tasty enough. A bit dry if you overcook it 😁
