Damn City the Animation is fucking CRAZY.
It was already a beautiful show with incredibly fluid, expressive, cartoony animation, but episode 5 is on another level. I'm probably gonna have to watch it several more times just to catch everyone's story leading to the party scene at the end. Nuts dude.

Why are people so fucking stupid? No one is talking about replacing Sonic's DESIGN, they're talking about replacing his MODEL. His MODEL'S design needs an overhaul, not his CHARACTER DESIGN. THIS IS NOT HARD. "They tried with Boom and people hated it!" No they fucking DID. NOT. THAT! was a REDESIGN!

1) I wonder if there's a way, in terms of game mechanics, to better realize the fantasy of Pokemon catching, raising, training, and battling? You'd want some way to realize the unique attributes of individual Pokemon without stats.
A system that lets me apply Pokedex entries to battles and actions.

1) Wish Sonic would go back to using the oldschool sound design in its games. SPECIFICALLY the "Bwoop" when jumping. Also the satisfying "pop" when breaking items and beating enemies. Having more grounded, naturalistic sounds sort of detracts from the vibe. Sounds less specifically "SONIC"

They brought the Super Peel Out back in Sonic Lost World, and we've seen it elsewhere a couple times, but I wish they'd do the smear frame thing more with certain character animations.

1) Idea for a compromise between the boost and inertia mechanics in Sonic: The boost doesn't get you to top speed, it just gets you at decent running speed. Say your actual top speed is 1000. Boost would set your speed to, say 250, and then it'd still be up to your use of physics to go faster.

Man, I SO want someone to decompile and port Sonic Adventure to PC like Mario 64 so we can get the character controller and people can mod it into other games so I can play as Adventure Sonic in ANYTHING. I want to turn every 3D game I own into Sonic Adventure.

Just got back from movie 3 and HOLY FUCK THAT RULED. They killed it. New favorite movie. Even if you're not a Sonic fan at ALL, go see this fucking thing. People were not kidding about it being the first "real" Dragonball movie. They understood the assignment, and the changes only HELPED the pacing.

Y'know, while the Knight battle in Frontiers is great and it's got this huge, badass conclusion with Super Sonic slicing a giant mech in half with a sword the size of a skyscraper anime style, it was ABSOLUTELY a waste not to give Silver his "Trunks cutting Frieza in half" moment.

Y'know, while the Knight battle in Frontiers is great and it's got this huge, badass conclusion with Super Sonic slicing a giant mech in half with a sword the size of a skyscraper anime style, it was ABSOLUTELY a waste not to give Silver his "Trunks cutting Frieza in half" moment.
In the wake of Shadow Gens releasing, (haven't played it yet, no spoilers please), I'm thinking about the possibility of Mephiles returning long term.

So I know the joke with Ian Flynn's writing is that it's all self referential and "remember when THIS happened?!" (it's not), but for the joke to work in Sonic X Shadow Gens, it should be the reverse. Just focused serious, new storytelling. Because Gens does the reference thing.
