Yes. Rap DOES glamorize violence. But so does everything else. Cowboys, Mobsters, the gov't...the list goes on. American Culture is violent. Everyone is spoonfed little dosages of violence every day thru all five senses. Whoever controls what you're seeing is violent. This ain't Hip Hop's fault.

Serious question: are we witnessing the beginning of another civil war in real-time? Just feels like things are getting worse and worse. Watching that Gavin Newsome ad felt like I was in House of Cards. At this point we are in escalating game of tit for tat. And we all know how that ends.

The goal is to love unconditionally - including yourself. A lot easier than it sounds tho. We all have these little insecurities that buzz in our ears like flies. That pick at us. That we swat away only for them to come back and pick some more.

A lot of ppl "believe" what the majority believes because they're too weak to speak up for how they TRULY feel. But all life is a POV. And nobody in the history of all human beings has ever shared the same perspective, not even twins. So, stop thinking that everyone should think like you.

Word of advice: if you want to not lose your fcking mind becuz of this crazy ass world we are in right now - especially if you are an empath - just avoid the media at all costs.

My elderly neighbor (who looks anything but elderly, she's 83) told me to stop chasing a life that is already in front of me.
Knocked the wind out of my ass. because it was true af. We all need to stop chasing something that's already in front of us.
