They were arresting her for blocking their vehicles. She was parked in the middle of the road so they couldn't get by. Again I didn't agree with any of their tactics whatsoever. And it appears this agent didn't follow training or protocol...no surprise.

At the corner of the vehicle it gives him clear vision of what the driver is doing, making sure she is not in fact armed, as well as making sure the other agents aren't in his line of fire, which shouldn't have happened, but when he did discharge his weapon, they wouldn't be hit if one missed.

Again, I will state I thinks this is murder too, but he probably placed himself in front because they were trying to apprehend her at that point. They ordered her out of the car, and the other agent was trying to open the door.
January 7, 2026 at 11:12 PM
I'm not, I've called this a murder in almost all of my replies but most people don't understand how courts work in cases like this
January 7, 2026 at 10:02 PM
You don't have time to process, when you are that close to see "oh she is turning and won't run over me". BUT if he is to the side of the vehicle that agent cannot make that argument at all.
January 7, 2026 at 8:46 PM
Any jury or judge is going to believe that an officer/agent would have a reasonable justification to think they might get run over, if they are standing in front of a vehicle, less than 5 feet from it, and the person driving starts the vehicle to flee the scene.
January 7, 2026 at 8:46 PM
Why does this matter though? It wasn't a racially motivated murder, she was a white driver. This brings nothing to the story...
January 7, 2026 at 8:42 PM
Then you are arguing that he was justified in his shooting.
January 7, 2026 at 8:40 PM
Are you even reading what I am typing? I clearly each time say it IS murder, but I also state that if he was in front of the vehicle, it would NOT be murder. It would be justified because if that car is moving and there is an officer in front of the vehicle they are thinking they could get runover.
January 7, 2026 at 8:38 PM
I didn't say with the people in office now, but the political gerrymandering has made it so no middle of the road candidates can win, which leads to extremes of both sides of the aisle and is what is the main issue with politics today.
January 7, 2026 at 8:36 PM
I have said that all along. I am just saying in the video they don't say "get out of the area".
January 7, 2026 at 8:34 PM
Yes, but he wasn't in front of the bumper leaving over the hood. If he was then it would be justified as a reasonable use of deadly force. Look I keep saying this is unjustified and she was murdered. But to say he was over the hood gives more justification to the DHS/ICE, and is not in the video.
January 7, 2026 at 8:17 PM
Also I never said I voted for Republican or Democrat, did I? And I would say it is people like you, who are incapable of making any sort of concession to meet the two sides in the middle that are enabling this. When things weren't so politicized to one side or the other the country ran smoother.
January 7, 2026 at 8:15 PM
Actually ever heard of the Declaration of Independence? The Emancipation Proclamation? Yes votes and letters mattered. And you are excluding the examples I already gave. Yes force is necessary at certain times.
January 7, 2026 at 8:15 PM
That is why she fled because she didn't want to be arrested and held in some unknown area for some unknown time just to have the charges dropped after a week and then released. I totally get that. Just like I said, I want the truth out there so DHS has to answer for it.
January 7, 2026 at 8:11 PM
I get that too, and I understand the confusing tactics. The guy that posted the video even states that he hear them say "get out of the area" which goes to show why eye witness testimony is so unreliable at times. But in the video you clearly hear them to tell her to get out of the vehicle.
January 7, 2026 at 8:11 PM
You are clearly delusional and making false assumptions. You have no idea who I have voted for, saying otherwise is just a flat out lie, but it doesn't fit with your narrative of violence is the only solution.
January 7, 2026 at 8:07 PM
This has nothing to do with it. Zero. Maybe if the victim was black, tying this into race, but it was a white female. So what if it was near where George Floyd was murdered (not killed).
January 7, 2026 at 8:06 PM
Look this is clearly unjustified and murder, but if we start spreading a false narrative like Noem is doing, then it just muddies the water even more and lets ICE get away with it. Stick with the facts, in fact the fact the agent wasn't in front makes this even more unjustified.
January 7, 2026 at 8:04 PM
Watch the video for yourself. I've watched several. At least 3 different ones. The agent was not across the hood because if he was then it would be a justified shooting as soon as she started driving. Also you can clearly hear them say to "get out of the vehicle" multiple times.
January 7, 2026 at 8:02 PM
If you start an armed insurrection it just gives Trump more firepower to do even more. I am not saying to be passive. One can be civilly disobedient like MLK Jr, Gandhi, and others has proven to be a useful way to enact change against those that are corrupt.
Or one can be politically active.
January 7, 2026 at 8:00 PM
Look it was cold blooded murder, but we don't have to lie about what exactly happened. They did not tell her to leave, they told her "get out of the vehicle" multiple times. The driver then drives off, which is not a reason at all to use lethal force. But if we lie, it gets us nowhere.
January 7, 2026 at 7:57 PM
Either say "unjustifiably killed a woman" or "murdered a woman", doing otherwise is just ceding the point to the DHS and administration.
January 7, 2026 at 7:46 PM
Or you know get politically active and use your Constitutional rights of free speech and your power to vote to enact actual change.

Saying one is cowardly for not going out and assaulting trigger friendly armed federal agents is something though.
January 7, 2026 at 7:44 PM
This is exactly correct. If state charges are brought, it gets removed to federal court, but then it is the US Attorney that decides to prosecute. Obviously right now the US Attorney will decline, but in 3 years.....
