So, the part of Avatar 3 that is about the relationship between grief, trauma, and faith is really interesting. The hot goth Navi being a mirror to Zoe Saldana works. But then it gives up on that and is about who gets to Spider's daddy for the day.

Between the PS2 Bambi ad, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, and Twink Peaks season 3 - I really do love how much David Lynch seems to be in awe of and fearful of cars

So I am definitely fighting through my expectations on Everybody Scream (folk horror, ancient witchery vibes) and accepting what it is.

Am I just not excited by Florence anymore? It hurts to even think about. In retrospect i am so grateful to Dance Fever for having hooks, even when it tread upon usual thematic territory.

I'm "concerned" that somebody described the dog in The Thing (1982) being The Thing as a twist? Rather than just something that happens.
I feel like a twist is more like a fundamental shift in information AFTER a status quo has been developed. The dog happens in the first 15 minutes
