You're missing out. There are very few games in the past couple decades where I've stepped away and said "holy shit, that's one of the best games I've ever played."

I'm currently on board with the idea, but also understand your concern. I also don't know how the switch to first person works with the gameplay we saw of Leon, or even if it will be available for him.

We'll see. They've put out 2 bangers in a row, so I'm not losing faith just yet.

Which one were you cheering for? 33 had me grinning ear to ear throughout (well, except for the sad parts, I'm not a fucking psycopath...you get what I'm saying). It was the Lost Odyssey sequel we'll never get

OK, "HATE IT" WAS WAY TOO STRONG. Immediate regret. I just...it was OK? Gameplay was fun when it actually let you play, but the story was pretty clear after hour 4 or so. The music video thing was where they lost me. Yeah, I get it, I played that game, and it was honestly better.

Hopefully they just repurpose the idea. I didn't even like their most critically acclaimed game yet (forced myself to finish Alan Wake 2 over Halloween, still hate it), I'm definitely not playing their "oh shit, we need money" L4D clone

Regardless, the beard looks sweet. Rock it

Ah, yeah, it made me mean as shit. Not sure if it was the drug or the fact that my lips turned into a body horror, but it was bad.

Did you start using the stuff the same time as the cold weather? If so, you might just have an allergy. Found that out the hard way fixing something else last year

Hopefully they just ignore that dumpster fire. The lore’s convoluted enough without factoring in a game 19 people played
December 12, 2025 at 6:50 AM
Is it Accutane? I had to do that about 10 years ago, that was ROUGH. The chapped lips were brutal. Worth it, though! Haven’t had an issue since I finished treatment!

It was definitely intriguing. Put in COD terms, I caught hints of Kill Confirmed and Domination, which are the two modes I filter down to when I do play them. That alone caught my attention.
December 12, 2025 at 6:03 AM
Also, to be clear, I'm not cheering for one or the other. If those two studios start going head to head, we ALL win.
December 12, 2025 at 6:01 AM
Oh, for sure. I actually don't think this one is the CRPG, feels way too soon for that. I'm gonna roll the dice and say they're going for CDPR's crown with this one, then the BG3 team is cooking on something we'll hear about in a couple years.
December 12, 2025 at 5:40 AM
I do wish they'd at least given a LITTLE more info. Like, what's the genre? The fact it's called just Divinity makes me think it may not be the CRPG style of Original Sin or BG3. Which makes sense, we know they're working on 2 games, doubt they're the same feel

Oh for sure. If I'm gonna spend that much on a coat (I'm not), I'm going for this bad boy www.petermillar.com/p/oxford-cit...

Yeah, it was definitely an underwhelming way to end the night. I kinda wonder if they flipped the order due to leaks. Seems like Divinity or Tomb Raider would have been a better fit for a capper
December 12, 2025 at 4:25 AM
LOL, I'd say that's pretty true to life for his age! Also, I would buy the shit out of that jacket
December 12, 2025 at 4:14 AM
My first thought was: this looks like DmC. Not Devil May Cry, but the failed reboot. Which is a HUGE compliment coming from me, I fucking loved that game. Would have like it more if it was just its own thing, but it definitely doesn't get enough love.
December 12, 2025 at 4:09 AM
Yeah, no WHOA moments, but a melee Control, new Ace Combat, what looks like a Burnout-style Pod Racer, and then the little commercial that said I'd get a PC demo of Nioh 3 were all nice surprises!

“Little real world value” is just a factually incorrect blanket statement based on nothing. Unless you’re saying my every day experience is just a hallucination

Immediate impact is painful due to cuts in big companies, but hopefully leads to a lot more opportunity in small business and start-ups. I can say first-hand that it's HUGE on the start-up side. Probably decreasing the employee dilution of our upcoming raise by about 20%

Also want to clarify my view on AI, since I'm more "pro" than most around here. For games/movies/books, at least the creative part? Hell no. I see it more as something like Excel replacing physical ledgers for accountants.

In other words, one BIG winner (right now, looking like Google, the new Gemini is damn good, at least how we're using it on the business side for automation), and then a whole bunch of losers.
