Paying Respects

I love the tradition the Viis have with the azure flowers for those who leave. And for a Viera OC who didn’t have normal departure from village, this quest felt like it was for Hex- a chance for her to release her feelings of departure & death & just having a chance to say goodbye.

Me for 1st one (because I should totally be a Wizard despite how much I hate spell casting because I unfortunately have a desire to know everything)

I did 2nd one for Hex & this is not the 1st time I’ve gotten Barbarian for her on a D&D class quiz.

Hex doesn't want kids, her moodiness can get in way, & she's not v responsible (kids taking initiative was how raised in her village, though her family had heavier hand on her)

However she gets along very well with them- telling stories, playing games. She also fiercely looks out for them

Hex doesn't know him (never met) which for most part is a nothing-burger (except when she talked back to Fourchenault).

He's in his 100's (huge age gap between him & Hex's mother) & Hex probably got more of her looks from him. He has some wanderlust, though his is contained to the jungle.

It wasn't Hex's idea; Ameliance was curious how she'd look in Viera attire. Hex definitely got a ban, though thanks to Ameliance, it didn't last very long.

Hex's journal is mostly scraps of materials pressed into it, like a scrapbook. Since Hex's home language is more image based, there aren't many words at the start, just some "doodles" in the margins to convey language. Further on, as Hex learns to read & write Eorzean,⤵️
