i need to read some english and saxon folk tales i think to see how the language renders trees and what inspired tolkien from those stories. bc yes, his writing def shaped my imagination back then.

Fav line so far. Even if you can’t save yourself in the end there’s still something to getting good and claiming confidence in yourself. I love that this ends up being a manipulative ploy from So Mi still. So fitting for the story that your growth as a character plays into the hands of others.

fascists have a way of seeing and framing the world that plays out pretty evidently in their art. art isn't just an object that you look at, it's meant to involve you and direct you and get you to be part of how it makes and sees the world. wish people were willing to be critical of what they enjoy
