This year however I started using it again for final touch ups and half-tones/colouring, which is a pretty good compromise.

The main art lesson of 2025: grid paper. If you're using a lightbox to ink you can use grid paper for your pencils. And it makes panelling and keeping things level SO much easier.

Recently I've been drawing a lot of Trans Femmes who have, let's say, masculine foibles.
But, get this, did you know Cis Women can also have things like body hair and adam's apples. Crazy, I know, it's almost like the human experience is varied and complex.

Ideally the background should primarily be black too, but I am doing this all traditionally, and not on cardstock, so too much ink causes the hard copy to start curling up something fierce.
Also for legibility sake, if the main subject is dark, the background should be light, and vice versa.

Sadly I had to resort to Amazon to get the A3 pad: no local stores stocked A3 graph pads...
